What does spring bring? Babies! We will be hosting our spring discovery table in the Reserve. Stop by and say “hi”!

Join naturalist Carol Simpson in a fun adventure for kids of all ages. Search for some of the hidden treasures of the Blue Sky Reserve.

SATURDAY, MAY 18 - 9:00 AM. MEDICINAL AND EDIBLE PLANTS

Enjoy a hike with docent Kathy Reading as she introduces you to many medicinal and edible plants found in Blue Sky.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2 - 8:00 AM. DOGS IN BLUE SKY

Attention all dogs! Bring your human and join docent Anna Gately-Stanton for a walk in Blue Sky. Don‘t forget your leash, treats, and plenty of water!

Saturday, June 8- 8:00 AM. walk n’ talk series: plants and habitats

This is part of the Friends of Blue Sky Walk n’ Talk Series. Attend 3 hikes in 2024 (September 21 and November 12 upcoming) and you will receive a Friends of Blue Sky patch! Join docent Eric Brewer to learn more about the plants and animals at Blue Sky.

SAturday, June 15- 8:00 AM. lake romona power walk

Get your cardio on!  Join docent Eric Brewer for a quick-paced hike through Blue Sky Canyon and a determined climb up the steep incline to beautiful Lake Ramona.  Don’t worry, we won’t leave anyone behind, but having a reasonably good fitness level is recommended.  It’s 4.6 miles round trip.  Don’t forget to bring water.

THURSDAY, JUNE 20 - 7:00 am. SUMMER SOLSTICE

Summer officially arrives this afternoon but you can get an early morning start on the season at Blue Sky. Join docent Celeste Larson for an interpretive hike thru the reserve and around Poway Lake, about 5.5 miles.
