Kids ages 4 to 10 - come explore, learn and celebrate the amazing world of trees. Join us for hands-on activities and outdoor exploration. This event is limited to 25 kids. To register, email us at friendsofblueskycanyon@gmail.com.
saturday, june 20- 8:00 am. Trees hike
This guided hike by Susan Riha, ecosystem scientist, will be focused on why there are trees in Blue Sky and how they shape life here. We will “read the landscape” and contrast riparian forest, oak woodland and chaparral, and in the process learn how trees tell us about water in the landscape, are apartment complexes for animals, and are climate strategists. Come join us for a mostly shady hike at Blue Sky.
