Unless otherwise indicated, all events are free and open to the public and begin at Blue Sky parking lot. Bring your own water as there is no drinking water available in Blue Sky.

 

Saturday, september 6- 9:00 to 11:00 am. junior nature ranger

Come share family time and connect with nature! Docents lead children through a series of activities allowing them to experience nature while having fun in the outdoors. A Nature Ranger certificate will be issued upon completion of activities. Limited to 15 children aged between 6 and 10 years old. This event is free, but space is limited. What makes California special? Join us to celebrate California’s state symbols and emblems. Each symbol was chosen to represent something distinctive about our state’s identity. Meet “William Wallace” our state reptile! Stop by and visit with us.

Saturday, September 27- 8:30 am. Walk N Talk series – Adaptations in Action

Join Blue Sky board member and biologist Alan Torretto to learn about the hidden superpowers of plants and animals, and why they are nature’s ultimate inventors by coming up with clever hacks to survive and thrive.

saturday, october 18- 5:30 to 7:15 pm. hoot,howl and prowl

Blue Sky Reserve comes alive after dark! Meet the canyon’s “wildlife” (docents dressed in animal costumes) up close and end the evening with a cup of hot chocolate! Groups will leave at 15-minute intervals, and tours last approximately 75 minutes. The first group begins their tour at 5:30 pm. Kids are welcome to wear their costumes. Registration is required.
